WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Jess was a collegiate basketball player that graduated with a Physical Education degree. In 2017 she moved to Uganda to teach PE and help with the organization’s sport programs. In 2018 she moved to China and saw a need in both countries. This led to founding what is now known as YOU ARE.

To make the biggest impact long-term, women and youth are the powerful difference makers. Youth is our dynamic leaders for tomorrow, and women is usually in charge of the quality of life for youth. helping them reach their truest potential not only makes a difference for their lives, but the ones to come.

At YOU ARE we believe that education makes a positive difference in the lives of others. This is exactly why we offer researched-based curriculums to those we serve and to our community that supports the whole-person.
